I use signal / sound waves created by our natural world to create paintings. A selected acoustic signal wave is applied to the surface of the paint panel. Then, hand-formed bronze or porcelain pieces are dipped in paint and placed on the panel’s surface. The acoustic vibrations carry these forms across and what emerges are visible patterns created by resonance. Once dry, these paint patterns serve as visual guides to hand paint connections to reveal larger formations of sound made visible.
