SPECTRAL TOPOLOGIES SERIES 2020-2021

Spectral Topologies, 2020
Acrylic paint, colored pencil, sound / signal vibration. 20 x 32 in.
Private Collection.

In my investigations of making sound visible, I enlist sound itself as a form of materiality. I use the noēma as instruments of mark making in these paintings. They are vibrated using specific sound sources to move pigments across spatial landscapes, creating pools, trails, and visible formations of sonic patterns all shaped by sound.

Spectral Topologies (sonification), 2021
