Surveying our earth’s surface from above has deeply informed my artistic practice. These aerial images focus on our human-made patterns and the networked complexities we create on our earth’s surface. Constraining the images into planetary structures offer reconsiderations of scale and simultaneous expressions. They hold space between the micro and macro: between the cell and planet, circuit and civilization, the natural and manufactured. Studying these worlds within worlds, I’ve grown to understand our human marks write the story and everything is connected to everything else.
